Lower Elementary (K-2nd)

Building strong foundations with care and curiosity

A joyful start to school

Our Lower Elementary program focuses on building strong academic foundations while nurturing confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning. Teachers provide structure, routine, and support so young learners feel safe and successful.

Reading & Literacy

Students learn to read through a balanced approach that builds strong phonics skills, vocabulary, and comprehension—while also developing a love of books and stories.

Writing & Communication

Children begin expressing their ideas through drawing, writing, and speaking. Writing is taught step by step, with encouragement and celebration along the way.

Math

Math learning focuses on understanding numbers, patterns, and problem-solving through hands-on activities that make math meaningful and approachable.

Social & Emotional Growth

Students learn how to manage emotions, follow routines, work with others, and develop independence in a supportive classroom environment.

Learning Through Play

Science and exploration are woven into daily learning through hands-on activities, experiments, and guided discovery that spark curiosity and excitement.

Support & Structure

Teachers provide clear expectations, consistent routines, and close communication with families to ensure each child feels supported and understood. Classes are intentionally kept small so teachers can give close attention, build strong relationships, and support each child’s learning and growth.
